PartyLabz Donations allows event organizers to collect contributions through their public profile page. This tool helps organizations raise funds for various causes, providing a straightforward way for donors to give. Non-profits, community groups, and individuals raising funds can use PartyLabz Donations to accept contributions.

How it Works

Subscription and Profile

  • Create an account and subscribe to one of PartyLabz plans that support donations: IMPACT+ or BUSINESS+.
  • Create a public profile on the "Organizer Page". This profile will show your donations and event information.
  • Enable "Accept Donations" on the "Donations" tab during profile setup.
  • Set optional minimum and maximum donation amounts.
  • Provide a required transaction descriptor (what will appear on the donor's bank statement).
  • Specify a required donation number prefix and start number.
  • Create at least one donation purpose. For each purpose, set:
    • A minimum donation amount.
    • A Donor Benefit Amount: The monetary value of a benefit the donor receives (e.g., a t-shirt, membership).
      Note: The Donor Benefit Amount will be subtracted from the donation amount to calculate the amount eligible for tax deductions.
    • Suggested amounts to simplify payment process.
  • Provide a description for your donations page, explaining why people should donate.
  • A charity ID (for Canadian charities).
  • Your signature for donation receipts.

Profile Sharing

  • Share your public profile page URL on your website or social media.
  • Your profile will show your organization's information, events (optional), and donation options.

Donor Process

  • Donors visits your company profile at PartyLabz and goes to the "Donations" tab.
  • Donors select a donation purpose, enter the amount, and add a comment.
  • They provide their name, email, phone, and address.
  • PartyLabz accepts credit cards, Google Pay, and Apple Pay.
  • Each donation gets a unique number.

Cash Donations

  • Enter cash donations on the "Donations" page using the "Add" button.
  • The "Donations" page shows all donations and allows receipt printing or PDF downloads.

Tax Receipts (Canadian Charities):

  • Registered charities can create tax receipts for themselves and donors.
  • The system includes necessary information for tax deductions.

Fees

  • PartyLabz charges 2% of the donation, with a minimum of $0.50 and a maximum of $20.
  • Stripe, the payment processor, charges 3% plus 0.30 per transaction (this can change any time so check their fees on Stripe Official Website).
  • Organizers can set a minimum donation amount to reduce the impact of fees on small donations.
    Example: $100 donation will result in 2$ PartyLabz fee, and the rest to the Stripe account of the event organizer, with Stripe fees subtracted.
